Sara ‘Marie’ Taul

? Services for Sara “Marie” Taul, 87, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Worden United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Worden Cemetery.

Mrs. Taul died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1916, in rural Baldwin, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Miller) Oshel. She grew up and attended school in Ottawa.

Mrs. Taul was a homemaker. She also worked for Avon for more than 35 years and reached President Club status. She was an active member of Worden United Methodist Church and Worden United Methodist Women, and she sewed for the Jolly Stitchers. She volunteered for Worden Workers 4-H Club and Willow Springs Township Election Board.

She married Hibbard E. Taul on July 27, 1937, in Olathe. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert Stanley Taul, St. George, Utah, and Roger Dean Taul, Baldwin; two daughters, Linda Marie Russell and Sue Ann Brown, both of Baldwin; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A son, Jon Dee Taul, and a grandson died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Baldwin.
