KU swimming in third at Big 12 Championships

? Kansas University’s swimming and diving team set two school records and remained in third place after the third day Friday of the Big 12 Championships.

KU has a three-day score of 361 points, 78 points ahead of Iowa State. Texas leads with 624.5 points, and Texas A&M is second with 526.

Kansas’ 400 medley relay team of Whitney Sondall, Miranda Isaac, Becca Zarazan and Gina Gnatzig finished with a school-record time of 3:46.68.

Sondall also broke the school record in the 100 backstroke in 55.38.

Kristen Johnson finished seventh in the 400 individual medley, Amy Gruber placed third in the 100 butterfly, Gnatzig was fifth in the 200 freestyle, and Hannah Bakke was fourth in the 100 breaststroke.
