Crystal Turner gave birth to her son Toby Keith Collins at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the company of her 1- and 2-year-old daughters in her Baldwin home. Turner, 30, didn't have time to get to the hospital in the 15-minute window between when her water broke and when she gave birth. She tied the umbilical cord herself using a string and a bread bag tie. Her two other children, a 5-year-old and an 11-year-old, were at school. She is pictured Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where she arrived a few hours after giving birth. Turner was released Thursday evening.
