Worth sharing
To the editor:
As a community, Lawrence is blessed with many caregivers serving as family members, volunteers and professionals. Recently, Kent Hayes spoke on caregiving, “Where Does the Self Fit In?”
He discussed aspects and needs of the caregiver’s physical, emotional, spiritual and professional self. He said caregivers and health care need a greater voice and more support at state and federal levels.
Hayes stated, “The value of our community is dependent on the care we give to the most vulnerable members of our community.” I thought this statement worth sharing.
