Troops train for Afghanistan public relations

? Reporters from northeast Kansas did their patriotic duty Thursday morning by being jerks to the military.

As part of a training exercise for the 105th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment of the Kansas National Guard, reporters pestered Army public relations officials during simulated attacks on American forces in Afghanistan.

The detachment will deploy to Afghanistan in March. It includes Sgt. First Class Matt Fearing, the assistant principal at Lawrence’s Southwest Junior High School.

The audio is taken from the aftermath of a simulated suicide bombing.
