John R. ‘Jack’ Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt died Feb. 10, 2004, in Leavenworth County.

He was born March 7, 1974, in Topeka, the son of John L. Schmidt and Linda Padgett Pinkham.

Mr. Schmidt was a framer for JKS & Sons in Shawnee.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Christy Schmidt, De Soto; his mother, Olathe; a son, Beau, Eudora; three sisters, Casie Williams, Eudora, Katie Schmidt, De Soto, and Nancy Wolff, Boston; grandmothers Helen Schmidt, Alma, and Rozella Mallory, Eudora; and stepfather Paul Pinkham, Jacksonville, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to the Jack Schmidt Funeral Fund at Kaw Valley Bank, sent in care of the mortuary.
