Stowe services

Mr. Stowe died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in a traffic accident north of Lawrence.

He was born Aug. 3, 1943, in Lawrence, the son of Paul Eugene and Clara May (Brightwell) Stowe. He attended school in Lawrence.

Mr. Stowe was a roofer for Local No. 20 in Kansas City, Mo., of which he was a member, and later worked for Rhoades Roofing in Lawrence. After his retirement from Rhoades he became a truck driver for Earl Stowe Trucking Co. He retired after six years because of illness.

Survivors include three brothers, Robert, Earl and Glen, all of Lawrence; and three sisters, Charlotte Lewis, Judy Berry and Neva Stowe, all of Lawrence.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and until service time Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
