  • U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback said bringing the 1st Infantry Division's headquarters back to Fort Riley from Germany would protect Forbes Field against closing.
  • A Larned businessman urged senators to repeal a Kansas law prohibiting exhibitions of hypnosis for entertainment.


  • A House committee was told that methamphetamine use in Kansas remains epidemic, endangering children and filling the state's prisons.
