Services for Terry G. Banker, 59, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. Private inurnment is planned.

Mr. Banker died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born June 1, 1944, in Liberal, the son of Gene and Loris (Swafford) Banker. He grew up in Liberal and attended Kansas State University for two years. He moved to Lawrence in 1976.

Mr. Banker served in the Kansas Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for 40 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon and elder.

He married Sherry L. Wilson on Oct. 15, 1966, in Wamego. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his parents, of Lawrence; a son, Mark, Lawrence; a daughter, Kelli Raney, Lawrence; a brother, Steven, Snowflake, Ariz.; two sisters, Connie Drake, Topeka, and Trisha Rumbaugh, Junction City; and two grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the KU Hospital Endowment Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
