Catt services

Memorial services for Emily Faye Catt, 84, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.

Mrs. Catt died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

She was born April 14, 1919, near Augusta, the daughter of Luther S. and Bertha E. (Freisener) Spillman. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1937.

Mrs. Catt worked at Augusta State and Prairie State banks in Augusta. She retired in 1990. She was a member of Hypatia Club, National Honor Society in high school, First United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past worthy matron, all in Augusta.

She married Charles L. Catt on Sept. 3, 1938, in Augusta. He died Jan. 12, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, George L. Catt, Lawrence, and John S. Catt, Wellington; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church in Augusta or Lawrence Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
