Noel Paige Lanci

Miss Lanci died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, in Portalis.

She was born Dec. 20, 1978, in St. Francis, the daughter of Tom Lanci and Taunia Locker. She attended school in Great Bend. She earned a bachelor’s degree in archeology with honors from Kansas University in 2002. She was accepted into advanced studies at Eastern New Mexico University in Portalis to pursue her master’s degree in cultural resource management.

She was employed as an archeologist by the Office of Antiquities for the State of New Mexico in Santa Fe from 2002 to 2004. She was active in 4-H and orchestra.

Survivors include her father, Tom Lanci; her mother, Taunia Locker; her stepfather, Lawrence Locker; grandparents, Daniel Lanci, Jacque Hayes, and John Hayes; and a great-grandmother, Barbara Ewing.
