Marjorie Anna Daigh

Services for Marjorie Anna Daigh, 76, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Daigh died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at her home.

She was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Loveland, Colo., the daughter of Lilburn M. and Sarah Lorena Hamer Dowers. She attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in 1945. She also attended Kansas University.

Mrs. Daigh worked at Lawrence Paper Co. in the late 1940s and at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in the early 1950s. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, YTN church ladies club and Lawrence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She married Richard Allen “Dick” Daigh on April 30, 1950, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Matt Daigh, Eudora, and Eric Daigh, Denver; two sisters, Marion Harris, Lawrence, and Doris Quisenberry, Eudora; and two granddaughters.

A daughter, Diane Michelle Daigh, died in 1957.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to the church, Lawrence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of the funeral home.
