Bones, Ottawa win easy
Ottawa ? Luke Bones, Matt Leecy and the Ottawa High boys basketball team made quick work of Prairie View.
Bones had 17 points, including two straight three-pointers to start the game, and Leecy added 16 in the Cyclones’ 94-55 victory Friday. Philip Sylvester had 13 points for Ottawa, which jumped to a 25-9 lead after the first quarter.
“We really were consistent,” Ottawa coach David Grover said. “Nine guys had scored by halftime, and eight had six points by halftime.”
The Cyclones, who made eight three-pointers in the rout, earned a victory in their Frontier League opener.
Ottawa (3-2) will travel Jan. 4 to Baldwin.
