More than mild
To the editor:
Regarding the article on whooping cough (City briefs, “Whooping cough cases sharply increase,” Dec. 8), the cough is referred to as “mild.” This is far from true.
The cough is dreadful with gasps of air and choking.
To verify, run a search on “sound of whooping cough” and take a listen. Mild is the last word that will come to mind.
