Betty Jean Long
Stuart, Fla. ? Services for Betty Jean Long, 64, Stuart, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Stuart. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Jensen Beach, Fla.
Mrs. Long died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at her home from cancer.
She was born March 27, 1940, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Roy William Todd and Violet Rosetta Drennon. She has been a Florida resident since 1973.
She was a homemaker and served as a volunteer grader for Crusader Club Bible Study courses for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She married William A. Long. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include her mother; two sons, William E. Long, Henderson, Nev., and Timothy T. Long, Stuart; a daughter, Nancy C. Eckel, Lake Worth; five sisters, JoAnn Church, Joy Menhusen, Carol Brewster, Linda Lee and Judy Coffman, all of Lawrence, Kan.; four brothers, Roy W. Todd, Oskaloosa, Kan., Jack R. Todd, Lawrence, John M. Todd, Lenexa, Kan., and Jerry L. Todd, Navasota, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Young and Prill Funeral Home in Stuart.
The family suggests memorials to Open Air Campaigners, Gideon International or International Myeloma Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home, 6801 S.E. Federal Highway, Stuart 34997.
