Letha Wade
Shidler, Okla. ? Services for Letha Wade, 91, Lawrence, Kan., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Shidler United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pawhuska Cemetery.
Mrs. Wade died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Lawrence.
She was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Grainola, the daughter of George and Lillian Maie House Conner. She graduated from high school in Grainola and received a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from Central State Teacher’s College. She moved to Shidler in 1956 and to Lawrence in 2001.
Mrs. Wade taught at various schools throughout Osage County for more than 30 years. She taught sixth grade at Ward Elementary School in Shidler and then taught third grade until she retired. She was a member of Shidler United Methodist Church and the Osage Tribe.
She married Ben E. Wade. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Karen Highfill, Lawrence.
Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City is in charge of arrangements.
