Kent O. Mills
Pontiac, Ill. ? Services with cremation rights for Kent O. Mills, 74, Pontiac, will be private.
Mr. Mills died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at OSF St. Joseph Hospital in Bloomington.
He was born May 29, 1930, in Chicago, the son of Lyle Rex and Astrid Madeline Johnson Mills. He attended grade school and high school in Chicago. He also attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs and McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
Mr. Mills served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a staff sergeant. He was a Presbyterian minister and counselor at Pontiac Correctional Center until he retired in 1989. He volunteered for OSF St. James John W. Albrecht Medical Center.
Survivors include a son, David Bruce, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Carol Astrid Hart, Lawrence; a brother, Bruce Thornton, Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to American Heart Assn.
Duffy Funeral Home in Pontiac is in charge of arrangements.
