Pearl Eva Dunlap

? Services for Pearl Eva Dunlap, 96, New Braunfels, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Protestant Church, New Braunfels. Burial will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Dunlap died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at her home.

She was born April 23, 1908, in Roger Mills County, Okla., the daughter of George W. and Amanda Jane Mathis Walker. She graduated from Friends University in Wichita, Kan.

Mrs. Dunlap worked as a teacher at Holy Cross Lutheran School in Wichita and the former Institute of Logapedics in Wichita. She owned a cafe in Russell, Kan., and later farmed in Altoona, Kan. She had also lived in Ellinwood, Kan.

She was a member of Eastern Star and First Protestant Church Women’s Fellowship Grace Circle.

She married William S. Dunlap Jr. on April 24, 1938, in Salina, Kan. He died Nov. 5, 1986.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane Dunlap, Lawrence, Kan., and Martha L. Bogle and Nancy E. Ladshaw, both of New Braunfels; a son, William S. Dunlap III, Topeka, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
