Clifford Allen McConnell

Overbrook ? Graveside services for Clifford Allen McConnell, 71, Overbrook, will be at 11 a.m. today in Olathe Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. McConnell died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Brookside Manor in Overbrook.

He was born June 19, 1933, in Olathe, the son of Howard Glen “Tim” and Amelita Wilson McConnell. He attended Olathe schools and graduated from Olathe High School. He moved to Overbrook after his military service.

Mr. McConnell served with the 554th Army Engineer Battalion in Korea. He was a farmer and stockman in Overbrook. He also built houses for Overbrook Lumber Company. He was a maintenance supervisor at Kansas University for 17 years.

Survivors include a son, Jasper “Jake,” Overbrook; three sisters, Margaret Pirtle, Olathe, Evelyn Suddarth, Gardner, and Dorothy Hayes, Baldwin; and a grandson.
