Sheahon-Mansfield

Meredith Sheahon and Aaron Mansfield, both of Lawrence, were married July 10, 2004, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lawrence, with the Rev. Brian Schieber officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Julie Sheahon, Wichita. The groom is the son of James Mansfield, Vancouver, Wash., and Linda Mullikin, Stillwater, Okla.

Matron of honor was Heather Sheahon Whelan. Best man was Andrew Martin. Flower girl was Catherine Whelan. Ring bearer was Aaron Wagle. Candle lighters were Christopher Whelan and Ian Mansfield. Ushers were Mike Sheahon and Tony Wagle. Lectors were Jack Sheahon and Larry Mullikin.

A reception was given after the ceremony at Alvamar Country Club.

The bride is a graduate of Kapaun Mount Carmel High School, Wichita. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kansas University. She is a senior technical support analyst for Sourcecorp’s Fastrieve in Overland Park.

The groom is a Wichita East High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of General Studies degree in political science and economics from KU. He attends Washburn University’s School of Law.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Kautsch-Miles

Kristen Elizabeth Kautsch, Lawrence, and Joseph Loyal Miles, Wichita, were married June 12, 2004, at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Lawrence with the Revs. Darrel Proffitt and Robert Price officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Elaine Kautsch, Lawrence. The groom is the son of John and Ann Miles, Wichita.

The bride’s witness was Max Kautsch. The groom’s witness was Rachel Miles. Flower girl was Sarianna Gaugert. Special musicians were Dan Gaugert, Jon Gaugert, Rachel Knutzen and Rebecca Porter. Readers were Lauren Gaugert and Carmen Nichole Pitts. Ushers were Kenny Beach and John Price. Wedding coordinator was Ashley Lucas.

A reception was given after the ceremony at the Union Pacific Depot in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1999 Free State High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Kansas University in 2003. She is an executive assistant for a small, family business. She works part-time as the artistic director of Windfall Dancers Inc., a community modern dance company and school.

The groom is a 1996 Wichita Northwest High School graduate. He earned bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology from KU in 2000. He is completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing at Indiana University. He teaches undergraduate courses in English and is working on a thesis, a World War II historical fiction novel.

The couple reside in Bloomington, Ind.

Smith-Kulseth

Jennifer Lynn Smith and Paul Arnold Kulseth, both of Lawrence, were married May 1, 2004, in Lawrence with the Rev. Gary Teske officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Debbie Smith, Brookfield, Mo. The groom is the son of Marv and Ann Kulseth, Owatonna, Minn.

Maid of honor was Julie Michiels, Chicago. Best man was Tim Anderson, Mission. Bridesmaids were Anne Anderson, Stacy Noren, Cari Bradford and Lissa Jordon. Groomsmen were Ben Davis, Matthew Smith, Steve Vukelich and Erik Nerhus. Flower girl was Lillie Smith. Susan Isaacs and Beth Smith were personal attendants. Ushers were Jason Smith and Scott Jordon. Donald Doss was reader. Guest book attendants were Molly Nerhus and Liz Racine.

A dinner reception was given at the Eldridge Hotel. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Key West, Fla.

The bride is a graduate of Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Mo. She received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Kansas University. She is a project architect with GLPM Architects in Lawrence.

The groom is an Owatonna High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering from KU. He is a bridge design engineer for the Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
