Jim and Donna Flory, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Erin Flory, Chicago, to Zac Richardson, Chicago, son of Raymond and Karen Richardson, Traverse City, Mich.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Gussie Flory, Lawrence, and Dick and Lyn Hewitt, Lawrence.

The couple plan a July 2005 wedding.

Behrends-Freeman

Dawn Behrends and Tim Freeman, both of San Francisco, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Vonis and Larry Schroeder, Frankfort, and John Behrends, Mankato, Minn. She is a recent graduate of San Francisco State University.

The future groom is the son of Gunda and Dave Hiebert and Bryant and Stephanie Freeman, all of Lawrence. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

They plan a September wedding in Breckenridge, Colo., where they met.

Jordan-Wiard

Dean and Joyce Jordan, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Diana Rose Jordan, Lawrence, to Brett Michael Wiard, Hutchinson, son of Buck and Denise Wiard, Hutchinson.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 Lawrence High School graduate. She is studying secondary English education and sociology at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. She plans to graduate in May 2005.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Pretty Prairie High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2003 from Kansas University. He is a newscast director at KNWA in Fayetteville, Ark.

The couple plan a Jan. 1, 2005, wedding at Christ Community Church in Lawrence.

Ralston-Wilemon

James and Susan Ralston, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Natalie Ralston, to Zane Wilemon, son of Stan and Kay Wilemon, Austin, Texas, and Cindy and James McAlister, Arlington, Texas.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 2004 graduate of Kansas University with a degree in vocal performance.

The future groom received a degree in biology from KU. He attends the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas.

The couple plan a September wedding at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence.

Gill-Schaub

Brian and Nancy Gill, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacy Marie Gill, Kansas City, to Patrick Charles Schaub, Kansas City, son of Frank and Marjory Schaub, Aberdeen, S.D.

The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from Michigan State University in 2000. She also graduated with a juris doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in 2004.

The prospective groom is a 1987 graduate of Roncalli High School, Aberdeen, S.D. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and Spanish from Marquette University in 1991. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 2000. He is employed as a civil engineer with the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The couple plan an Oct. 9 wedding at St. Lawrence Catholic Center in Lawrence.
