The Lawrence Mentor’s Duplicate Bridge Club met Wednesday. Seven and a half tables participated in a stratified club championship game that followed a Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the play.
Competing North-South, Elizabeth Amsbach and Jeff Nash finished first in A. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley placed second in A and first in B. Bill Hamilton and Barb Hamilton placed second in B and first in C.
Playing the East-West cards, Shari Krentzel and Deb Bettinger swept first place in A, B and C. Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce placed second in A and B. Jo Andersen and Steve Rego claimed third in A and B and second in C. Judy Bevan and John Gilbert placed third in C.
Krentzel and Bettinger swept first place in A, B and C in the overall rankings. Amsbaugh and Nash finished second in A. Gary Joyce and Mary Joyce were third in A and second in B. Daugherty and Talley finished fourth in A and third in B. Andersen and Rego claimed fifth in A, fourth in B and second in C. Bill Hamilton and Barb Hamilton were third in C. Bevan and Gilbert took fourth in C.

Playing North-South, Lois Clark and Betty Collier swept first place in A, B and C. Sally Taylor and Patt Radford took second in A. Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough were third. Virginia Seaver and Klee Zaricky placed fourth. Chris Lane and Shirley Reese were second in B.
Competing East-West, Jeff Nash and Lois Jones claimed first place in A. Wanda Durbin and Julia Brooks were second. Madelyn Jenks and Mona Bell took third in A and first in B and C. Dave Piro and Paul Heitzman placed fourth in A. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd finished second in B. Linda Swain and Linda Randall were second in C.
Clark and Collier swept first place overall in A, B and C. Taylor and Radford were second in A. Nash and Jones placed third in A. Durbin and Brooks claimed fourth. Romer and McCullough took fifth in A. Jenks and Bell placed second in B and C. Lane and Reese tied for third in B with Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd. Swain and Randall took third in C.

Competing East-West, Virginia Seaver and Klee Zaricky finished first in A. Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson were second. Russ LaForce and Lois Clark placed third in A and first in B and C. Yvonne Hedges and Chuck Hedges were fourth in A and second in B. Dave Rhea and Liz Rhea took fifth in A.

Yvonne Hedges and Chuck Hedges took fifth in A and second in B. Petillo and Hemenway took sixth in A. Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd were third in B. Hui and Bevan placed fourth in B and second in C. Hartman and Burgstahler finished in a tie for third in C with Madelyn Jenks and Phyllis Brownlee.
