John Austin Logan III

Topeka ? Services for John Austin Logan III, 53, Tecumseh, will be at 1 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Topeka. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.

Mr. Logan died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at his home.

He was born April 29, 1951, in Topeka, the son of John Austin Logan III and Mona Logan Magee

He was a graduate of Topeka High School.

After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After being discharged, he worked as a bricklayer for 20 years. He then attended the Washburn University School of Nursing and graduated first in his class in 1997.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; his mother, Mona Magee; two daughters, Jessica Mayhew, Lawrence, and Jody Arteaga; a son, John A. Logan IV; two sisters, Holly Logan and Christy McDonald; a brother, Pierce Logan; and six grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Austin Logan Grandchildrens Fund, sent in care of Capitol Federal Savings, 700 Kansas, Topeka 66603
