‘Apprentice,’ ‘Benny Hill’ new on DVD

NBC has been using the Olympics to promote its new fall shows, but according to my very unscientific survey, it has been hyping the return of Donald Trump and “The Apprentice” more than any other show. Fans of the first season can rejoice: a DVD of “The Apprentice” is available in stores today. In addition to the original 15 episodes, the five-disc set offers a behind-the-scenes look at the contestants, the boss and the creation of the series. Viewers can also see audition tapes. Omarosa’s tryout alone may be worth the price.

Other DVDs on sale today include the “The Munsters — The Complete First Season.” It’s hard to believe that this mock-monster comedy debuted 40 years ago. It features all 38 episodes and a short, never-before-seen pilot episode shot in color. Remember when TV seasons had 38 episodes?

Fans of saucy British comedy can rejoice with “Benny Hill Complete and Unadulterated: The Naughty Early Years, Set One.” The three-disc set offers 11 episodes from 1969 to 1971.

Feeling nostalgic for oil-patch greed and Southfork schemes? Look for “Dallas: The First and Second Seasons,” featuring 29 episodes on five discs.
