Law enforcement report

Police arrested two Topeka men Thursday on suspicion of stealing a bicycle from an east Lawrence home and a truck from Topeka.

Police said the bike’s owner, a 25-year-old Lawrence man, saw two men stealing it about 10:30 a.m. from a home in the 1000 block of New Jersey Street.

Eudora Police later stopped a truck, which turned out to have been stolen.

The men, ages 43 and 36, were booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of theft.

Injury accidents

A two-vehicle wreck backed up westbound traffic Thursday afternoon on the Kansas Turnpike about two miles west of Lecompton.

Two people were transported to St. Francis Health Center, Topeka, by ambulance but weren’t admitted, a dispatcher said. A more detailed report wasn’t available Thursday night.

Burglaries and thefts reported

A 23-year-old Baldwin woman said her Ruger 9 mm semi-automatic pistol was taken March 8 from the 400 block of Alabama Street. She didn’t report the theft until Tuesday.

The gun was valued at $329.
