Wales-Lowery

Roxi DeAnn Wales, Anchorage, Alaska, and Brad Thomas Lowery, Fairbanks, Alaska, were married May 7, 2004, at First Assembly of God church in Fairbanks, Alaska, with the Rev. Paul McDonald officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and JoAnn Wales, Perry. The groom is the son of George and Lenore Lowery, Anchorage, Alaska.

Matron of honor was Joye Duncan. Best man was George Lowery. Bridesmaids were Shannon Wales and Sherri Thompson. Groomsmen were Dustin Hoppis, Josh Strickler and Josh Korthuis. Junior bridesmaid was Kaittlyn Emerick. Ring bearer was Cameron Thompson. Piano player was Bill Hendrix. Candle lighters were Victoria Reiss and Heather Strange.

Ushers were Andrew Emerick, Zachary Belt, Nathan Belt and Rick Hughes. Amanda Wright and Lara Boko were program, guest book and gift attendants. Reception coordinator was Pam Leist. Gene Lowery was violinist. Duane Fick was sound and lighting coordinator.

A reception followed at the church.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Perry-Lecompton High School. She graduated in 2002 from the Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, Texas. She is a receptionist for printing services at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Service High School in Anchorage, Alaska. He is a 2003 graduate of Northwest College in Kirkland, Wash. He is the youth pastor at First Assembly of God.

The couple reside in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Wilson-Vail

Amanda Wilson and Eric Vail, both of Lawrence, were married April 3, 2004, at Free Methodist Church in Lawrence with Rick Ostrander officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Todd and Laurie Wilson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Mike and Anita Vail, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Brooke Derrickson. Best man was Nathan Vail.

Bridesmaids were Katie Adamson, Megan Krier and Shannon Cates. Groomsmen were Matt Reese, Aaron Miller and Andy Pelsma. Candle lighters were Kara Gourley and Amy Brown. Ushers were Ben Wilson, Isaac Wilson, Nathaniel Wilson and John Wilson. Flower girl was Mayah Daniels. Ring bearer was Malachi Daniels. Readers were Whitney Evans and Dean Wilson. Sarah Lasala was vocalist.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
