Miller released from jail

Martin K. “Marty” Miller, the Lawrence carpenter and community leader charged with murdering his wife, posted bond and was released from the Douglas County Jail this morning.

Miller, 45, was released from jail at 9:50 a.m. after posting $150,000 bond, jail officials said. He had been held since July 31.

Miller is charged with first-degree murder in the July 28 death of his wife, 46-year-old Mary Miller.
