Evelyn Dotson Schumock Simpson
Concordia ? Services for Evelyn Dotson Schumock Simpson, 85, Concordia, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence.
Mrs. Simpson died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Mount Joseph Senior Community in Concordia.
She was born Sept. 30, 1918, in Arion Township, Cloud County, the daughter of Jesse Manuel and Esther Mae Clemons Dotson.
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary in Concordia. She lived in Clifton; Ocala, Fla.; Lawrence; and Jamestown.
She married George A. Schumock on Aug. 18, 1937, in Stockton, Calif. He died earlier. She married Floyd Dean Simpson on June 7, 1969. He died earlier.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Dickinson and Mary Guidry, both of Concordia; one son, George Schumock, Lawrence; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A daughter and grandson died earlier.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
