Edwards speech moved from park to Abe & Jake’s
Because of rain, Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards will speak at 1 p.m. today at Abe & Jake’s Landing, just east of Lawrence’s city hall, instead of Buford M. Watson Jr. Park, as earlier planned.
Hundreds arriving to see Edwards speak in downtown LawrenceAbe & Jake’s is accessible through the Riverfront Plaza area, which includes the Marriott Springhill Suites and Sunflower Broadband offices.
