Enid, Okla ? Max Ellenbecker struck out 14 and tossed a two-hit shutout as Lawrence’s Bandits blanked Enid, Okla., 5-0, Saturday night in the second round of the Mid Plains Regional American Legion tournament.

The Bandits (32-10) will play Lake Charles, La., at 5:30 p.m. today in the winners bracket finals.

“Max was just dealing,” coach Brad Stoll said. “They only had two or three good swings on him.”

Third baseman Matt Ertmer had several stops on defense. Lorenzo Rickets had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Nick Ayre also was 2-for-4.

“It was a nice crowd, and Max silenced them,” Stoll said. “It’s a beautiful park here. It was a lot of fun.”
