Frances Elizabeth Gregg

? Services for Frances Elizabeth Gregg, 89, Ottawa, will be at 2 p.m. today at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.

Mrs. Gregg died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa.

She was born Sept. 3, 1914, in Ottawa, the daughter of Jasper Davies and Nettie Hicks Davies. She grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School in 1934.

She moved to Ottawa in 1934 and attended Ottawa University in the 1970s.

Mrs. Gregg was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Ottawa. She was also a Brownie Scout leader, member of Army Mothers and member of the Ottawa Antique Car Club.

She married Jesse Gregg on July 21, 1934, in Paola. He died May 24, 1984.

A daughter, Juanita Eneihen, and an infant daughter, Shirley Jean Gregg, also died earlier.

Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Anderson, Garnett; two sons, Lee Gregg, Pittsburg, and William Gregg, Ottawa; a sister, Grace Hill, Parsons; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Franklin County Cancer Foundation, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
