Free fishing June 5-6

Free Fishing Days in Kansas will be the weekend of June 5-6. For two days, Kansans will be able to fish without having to buy a license. This traditional weekend coincides with National Fishing Week June 5-13.

Women’s event May 8

Registration forms are available for the Women in the Outdoors event May 8 at Rohrer’s Sporting Clays near Troy. All participants must be at least 14 years old. For information, call Eileen Gronnniger at (785) 359-6730.

Some crappie worth $100

Do you have tags from crappie caught at Cedar Bluff, Clinton, Hillsdale, Melvern or Perry lakes? This year’s tags are yellow and carry a $5, $20 or $100 reward. Blue tags are still present in these lakes and some of these are worth $100.
