“Friends” (7 p.m., NBC) nears its end, with only three original episodes left to air beginning tonight. If you’ve seen the commercials, you know that Rachel will mull over a job in Paris. This bombshell, combined with Phoebe’s wedding and Chandler and Monica’s exit to the suburbs, has Joey in a dither. In fact, he’s so distraught that Phoebe doesn’t have the nerve to tell him that his elderly agent has expired.

As fans know, Joey will certainly make a change of his own and move to Los Angeles, where his character will get his own sitcom, “Joey.” But before that happens, the show will have to settle the Ross and Rachel question. So if Rachel moves to Paris and leaves Ross at the departure gate, who will take care of baby Emma? Whatever happened to baby Emma? And for that matter, where’s Ross’ first child? And Phoebe’s triplets? Apparently, “I’ll be there for you,” doesn’t apply to children.

• Has producer Mark Burnett burned out on “Survivor” (7 p.m., CBS)? I can’t say I blame him. Compared to the excitement and soap-opera antics on his two better series, “The Restaurant” and “The Apprentice,” the shenanigans of Sheboygan-Shamoga-Toga, or whatever they’re calling themselves now, are strictly dullsville. Kathy got the ax last week after Rob cowed the competition with a token of generosity. But you have to think that the rest of the gang will go after the Massachusetts mumbler and his beloved Ahm-Buh the first chance they get.
• “Frontline” (8 p.m., PBS, check local listings) presents an extended interview with Abdurahman Khadr, a young man who was raised to be a terrorist but who has since become an American informant. As a child, his group of extended friends included the children of Osama bin Laden. Speaking on Canadian television, he discusses the human side of Bin Laden and describes a man who likes poetry, horseback riding and a spirited game of volleyball.
