Herl services

Mrs. Herl died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Atchison, the daughter of Leon L. and Virginia R. Abbott Rein. She graduated from Hoisington High School in 1962.

Mrs. Herl was a homemaker and member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

She married Harold J. Herl on Nov. 24, 1962, in Hoisington. He died Dec. 29, 1999.

A son, Mark Herl, died in 1990.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Herl, Brian Herl and Scott Herl, all of Lawrence; two daughters, Kerrie Herl, Lawrence, and Kim Spinni, Lane; two brothers, Lynn Rein, Salina, and Jim Rein, Mount Hope; two sisters, Mylissa Baldizon, Hutchinson, and Angela Rein, Paonia, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or AIDS research, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
