Hairston spurns Michigan

The Malik Hairston saga continues.

Hairston, a 6-foot-5 guard from Detroit who has had six colleges on his list, tells ESPN’s Andy Katz that Michigan is not one of his finalists.

That would cut his list to Kansas University, UCLA, Ohio State, Oregon and Oklahoma, with visits to Oregon and Oklahoma still planned.

“They’re not a fit for me,” Hairston said of in-state schools Michigan and Michigan State.

There have been reports UCLA and Kansas now appear to be the leaders.
