To the editor:

Whatever happened to individual rights and freedom of choice?

Non-smokers made their choice not to smoke. I didn’t tell them not to smoke. Why are they allowed to make my choice for me?

They also have the freedom to choose not to go to the restaurants that allow smoking.

There is strength in diversity. Why doesn’t the city represent all the people instead of the few imposing their will on all?

In this country, even if you don’t agree, others should have their rights represented as well.

In this country, smoking is legal, so why won’t I be allowed to go into a restaurant and have a cigarette with my coffee?
