KU students to win prizes for collections

Seven Kansas University students will be honored Tuesday during the 48th annual Snyder Book Collecting Contest awards ceremony.

Winners in the graduate and undergraduate divisions will receive $600 and a $100 gift certificate to the KU Bookstores. Second place wins $400 and a $50 gift certificate, and third place wins $100 and a $25 gift certificate.

The ceremony will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oread Books, on the second floor of the Kansas Union. The finalists’ collections will be on display during the ceremony and reception, and the winners’ books will be displayed through May 12.
