Forschen-Pitts

Gloria Forschen, Shawnee Mission, and Chris Pitts, Overland Park, were married Sept. 27, 2003, at the Clinton Parkway Assembly of God in Lawrence with the Rev. Todd Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of the late Neiland and Kim Forschen. The groom is the son of Norman and Mary Pitts, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Sara Kang. Best man was Duane Winkler. Bridesmaid was Katherine Hartleroad. Groomsman was Kevin Voelker. Gabrielle Gurke was flower girl. Soloist and pianist was Jan Schaefer. Ushers were Mark Whitlock and Mark Brody. Guest book attendant was DeAngela Whitlock.

A reception followed the ceremony in the activity center of the church. Reception hosts were RW and Betty Scribner. Reception servers were Jewell Woodward, Neva Hilton, Josie Leffert, Lisa Winkler and Lauren Winkler. The food was catered by Neil Pils.

The bride is a graduate of Warrensburg, Mo., High School. She received bachelor’s degrees in textiles and business from Central Missouri State University. She is employed by American Adoptions in Overland Park.

The groom is a Eudora High School graduate. He received bachelor’s degrees in business administration, accounting and computer science from Kansas University. He is employed as manager of technology and process improvements at National Bank of Kansas City.

The couple reside in Olathe.

Clark-Emig

Sara Clark, Baldwin, and Eric Emig, Quinter, were married Feb. 28, 2004, at Steve’s Place in Lawrence with Dale Deaton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Fred and Margaret Clark, Baldwin. The groom is the son of Walt and Carolyn Emig, Quinter.

Maid of honor was Molly Tye. Best man was Nelson Jamison. Bridesmaid was Tabetha Markley. Groomsman was Jason Jamison.

The bride graduated from a private school in the Baldwin area. The groom is a graduate of Quinter High School.

The couple reside in Quinter.

Oakleaf-Gresnick

Andrea Jayne Oakleaf and Jeffrey Clay Gresnick were married Jan. 31, 2004, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride is the daughter of Debbie Oakleaf, Baldwin, and Paul Oakleaf, Independence, Kan. The groom is the son of Joe and Jan Gresnick, Baldwin.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Baldwin High School. She graduated from Washburn University with a degree in radiologic technology. She is employed as a radiologic technologist at Children’s Mercy South Hospital in Overland Park, while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in health service administration at Washburn University.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Baldwin High School. He served with the 101st Airborne division for three years. He is pursuing a business degree at Johnson County Community College.

The couple reside in Overland Park, but will be moving in May to Raymore, Mo.

Ryan-Scully

Lorie Ryan and Charles Scully, Thomasville, Ga., were married April 10, 2004, at the Thomasville Rose Garden in Thomasville, Ga., with Judge Vickie Burnette officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Vivian Ryan, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Charles Scully, Tallahassee, Fla., and Patsy Scully, Thomasville, Ga.

Matron of honor was Karen Truitt. Best man was Steven Truitt. The bride was given away by her mother.

A reception took place at Cherokee Lake in Thomasville, Ga.

The bride is a 1987 graduate of Lawrence High School. The groom is a 1989 graduate of Thomasville High School. He is a cook at Captain D’s in Thomasville, Ga.
