Mary Louise Owen

? Services for Mary Louise Owen, 82, Coffeyville, will be at 1 p.m. today at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel in Coffeyville. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville.

Mrs. Owen died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 7, 1922, in Lincoln, Mo., the daughter of Clayton Centennial and Clara Emma Kelb Hare. She grew up in Lincoln, where she graduated from high school in 1940. She moved in August 1956 to Coffeyville with her husband.

Mrs. Owen was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Coffeyville, where she was a Sunday school pianist and in the bell choir. She also played for Seraphim Singers and was a charter member of Chief Black Dog Campers. She was a member of Crafty Ladies, Christian Women’s Fellowship and Twenturian Club.

She married Amos Allen Owen on Jan. 22, 1941, in Warsaw, Mo. He died May 28, 1987.

Survivors include a son, Don Owen, Bixby, Okla.; two daughters, Joy Findley, Lawrence, and Pat Voelzke, Coffeyville; three brothers, Elmer C. Hare, Marshall, Mo., Gail C. Hare, Carrollton, Mo., and Herb G. Hare, Lincoln, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
