Theresa V. Salsbery

? Services for Theresa V. Salsbery, 87, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Douglas County.

Mrs. Salsbery died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at her home.

She was born Aug. 30, 1916, in Overbrook, the daughter of Benjamin and Grace Bragg Hoffman. She was a near-lifelong rural Baldwin resident until she moved to Ottawa in 1992. She returned to Baldwin in 1998.

Mrs. Salsbery was a homemaker.

She married Donald Loyd Salsbery on Feb. 28, 1944, in Overbrook. He died April 8, 1998.

Two great-grandchildren also died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Willard Salsbery, Glendale, Ariz., and Jim Salsbery, Baldwin; two daughters, Patricia Routh, Havensville, and Mary Whiteford, Ottawa; six sisters, Virgie Heffner, Baldwin, Myrtle Eggert, Benson, Ariz., Sally Hepner, Topeka, Wilma Domino, Texas, and Doris Brown and MarDonna Cain, both of Ottawa; two brothers, Maurice Hoffman, Des Moines, Iowa, and Donnie Hoffman, Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the mortuary, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Assn. or Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
