A new website will help Kansas law enforcement agencies and the general public more easily identify those who have absconded from parole and probation, Attorney General Phill Kline announced today.

The web initiative, created through a combined effort of the attorney general’s office, the Kansas Criminal Justice Information System and the Kansas Department of Corrections, was introduced as part of Attorney General Kline’s Operation PADLOC (Parole Absconder Detection, Location, and Capture).

“I am confident that this invaluable tool will be a tremendous help to our state’s law enforcement community in their efforts to rid our streets of these scofflaws,” Kline said. “I applaud KCJIS and the KDOC for their efforts in getting this resource online and look forward to a continued working relationship as we strive to make Kansas a safer place.”

Visitors to the website will have access to a list of all current absconders from KDOC custody including the date that they absconded, information about the absconder’s conviction record, and known aliases.
