Marian E. Nichols

KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Graveside services for Marian E. Nichols, 85, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. today in Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Nichols died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Providence Place in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born Jan. 20, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Ralph and Ann Gatchel. She had been a lifetime resident of the area and had lived in Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Nichols was a teacher at Eugene Ware Elementary School in Kansas City, Kan., for more than 47 years. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Tonganoxie.

Her husband, Herbert T. Nichols, died earlier.

Survivors include a son, Jerry T. Nichols, Bryn Mawr, Pa.; a sister, Ruth A. Eikermann, Bonner Springs; and four grandchildren.
