Earl ‘Bud’ Rhodes Overfield Jr.

YUKON, OKLA. ? No services are planned for Earl “Bud” Rhodes Overfield Jr., 82, Yukon, at his request.

Mr. Overfield died Monday, March 29, 2004.

He was born March 22, 1922, in Independence, Kan., the son of Earl R. Sr. and Corine (Wadman) Overfield.

Mr. Overfield served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an electrician and retired from Kansas University, where he was a foreman with Facilities Operations. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

His wife, Charlene (Ryan) Overfield, died earlier.

Survivors include six daughters, Cheryl Ann Gober, Terrell, Texas, Patsy Ellen Mullin and Jacqueline Overfield, both of Topeka, Kan., Marjorie Marie Baker, Garland, Texas, Jo Anne Butler, Mustang, and Kathryn Ann Orr, Bastrop, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests donations to Catholic Charities, sent in care of Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City 73114.
