New judge planned for Douglas County in 2005 budget

? Douglas County will get a new judge position and support staff within the $10.2 billion state budget that won legislative approval today.

Both the Senate and the House approved the bill this morning, sending it to the governor.

Under judicial expenditures in the spending plan, the state would provide $112,000 to set up a new district court judge position and two staff members in Douglas County. The funding would be efffective Jan. 1, 2005.
