KU tennis squad competes in Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. — The Kansas University tennis squad earned four victories Saturday at the Polo National Collegiate Preview.

Freshmen Brittany Brown and Ashley Filberth each won their singles matches, and the doubles tandems of Brown and sophomore Christine Skoda and seniors Kristen Steinbock and Emily Haylock also won.

The final round of the tournament is today.

Baker soccer rolls

Hillsboro — Josh McDaniel scored two goals, and Baker cruised Saturday to a 6-1 college soccer rout of Tabor College. Adrian Salazar, Michael Garven, Barry Cummings and Marty Johnston each scored for the Wildcats (5-2). Tabor fell to 0-8. Baker will play host to Columbia College Tuesday.

Baker volleyball splits

Olathe — Baker University’s volleyball squad went 2-2 Saturday at the MidAmerica Nazarene Invitational. BU (9-10, 2-1 HAAC) beat Friends and Sterling, but lost to Morningside and Tabor.
