Ruth L. Glidewell

Toronto, Kan. ? Services for Ruth L. Glidewell, 81, Toronto, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Glidewell died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at Allen County Hospital in Iola.

She was born Sept. 26, 1921, in Panama, Okla., the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Clay) Muriekes. She had lived in Jefferson and Leavenworth counties and was a former Tonganoxie resident.

She married Jack Glidewell on Sept. 1, 1945, in Seguin, Texas. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert Glidewell, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Bernie Glidewell, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Mary Hussey, Llano, Texas, and Frances McConnel, San Antonio; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
