Edna V. Alldredge

Graveside services for Edna V. Alldredge, 97, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Alldredge died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Lakeview Manor.

She was born Dec. 24, 1905, in Table Rock, Neb., the daughter of William and Olive (Van Velingham) Miller.

Mrs. Alldredge owned and operated E & I Cafe and Kaw Valley Restaurant in North Lawrence. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary No. 309, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 852, Retired Eagles Activity Club, Rebekah Lodge No. 754 and Autumn Club.

She married Ross Brouhard in 1924. He died in 1958. She married Charles E. Alldredge Sr. on Aug. 7, 1960, in Lawrence. He died Nov. 11, 1982.

Survivors include a son, Loren Brouhard, Lawrence; a stepson, Charles E. Alldredge Jr., Lawrence, a stepdaughter, Elsie Marie Moore, Baldwin; and several stepgrandchildren.

A stepdaughter, Veda Godsey, died earlier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
