The Meadowlark 4-H Club met Sept. 9 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds. Margaret Pendleton, vice president, presided. Members answered roll call by naming their favorite animals.

The club elected the following officers: Taj Heckler, president; Amy Magnuson, vice president; Margaret Pendleton, secretary; Amelia Magerl, treasurer; Kyle Morgison, reporter; Will Pendleton, parliamentarian; Timber Supancic and Ella Magerl, song leaders; Hogan Randall, Preston Randall, Reese Randall, Drew Fox and Blake Fox, recreation leaders; Justin Fox, council representative.

Members were reminded the achievement celebration will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 2. Ambassador applications are due Oct. 2. The club discussed plans for a window display at Ernst & Son Hardware for National 4-H Week.

Guest was Clarate Heckler.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the fairgrounds. The club will have a potluck dinner and officer installation ceremony. Hosts will be the club advisory committee.
