Christian C. Senn

Macomb, Ill. ? Graveside services for Christian Conrad Senn, 90, Hilton Head, S.C., will be later at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.

Mr. Senn died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at his daughter’s home in Hilton Head, S.C.

He was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Macomb, the son of William Franklin and Elizabeth (Calvert) Senn.

Mr. Senn was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1946 in the Pacific Rim. He and his wife owned and operated O’Neil Wholesale in Macomb. He was a founding member of the Macomb High School Bomber Booster Club and a member of American Legion Post No. 0006.

He married Mary Jane Brower on Sept. 3, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Sept. 14, 1995.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Voegele, Hilton Head, S.C., Connie Petty, Keokuk, Iowa, and Becky Darling, Chassell, Mich.; two sons, Chris, Macomb, and John, Lawrence, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of the Low Country, 20 Palmetto Parkway, Suite 104, Hilton Head, S.C. 29926.

The Island Funeral Home and Crematory in Hilton Head is in charge of arrangements.
