Chicago Board of Trade

Soybean futures moved higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade amid dry weather conditions in the Midwest.

Wheat also advanced, while corn fell.

The outlook for continuing dry weather helped soybean prices posted modest gains even as the harvest began in some areas. A weakened cash market limited the increase.

Wheat edged higher in a technical correction following four straight declines last week.

Corn slipped lower in cautious positioning ahead of Thursday’s crop report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
